Every so often, an organization reaches a moment that demands urgency and patience at the same time. After months of thoughtful work, I am proud to share that NFID is launching a new strategic plan. It provides a clear direction for the challenges immediately in front of us and the future we are working to build. Our vision, our mission, and our commitment to evidence-based decision-making have not changed. What has changed is the environment around us.
Vaccine confidence is declining. Misinformation travels faster than facts. Public health institutions are under strain, and the national communications infrastructure that once translated science for the public is no longer playing the role it once did. This is the environment our strategy is meant to navigate.
